Children Advertisement
Advertising to children may not be as easy as one may think. You need to have creative concepts that will make children want to be a part of it. At the same time it needs to be something positive that parents will approve of. In many cases you not just advertising to children, you are also trying to sell to their parents as they will be the ones to make the final vote. When products use children to advertise products does it make it easier to sell? It may seem obvious but it may not be as simple as it looks.
When products are being advertised to kids they need to have an element of fun, excitement and some mystery. They try to make products look interesting and kids want them for whatever reason. They may fantasize about having it and will do whatever is necessary to get their parents on board. They wonder about what makes it so desirable and figure they can do exactly what the produce claims or more. It is one thing to have your child on the receiving end of an advertisement. It may seem easy to make something look cool but what about kids that work for companies to help them sell their products?
There are parents that help their children make a career out of advertising products. This is a start for them that often lead to being part of bigger projects and productions when they get older. They may have an effect on their self-esteem and how they view themselves. Some products have more of an effect on a child’s self-esteem than others. There are companies that are more focused on turning a profit instead of selling useful items a child can use. Others even question the ethics of using children to advertise products, even if they are products for kids.
Children are getting smarter about advertisements and how things work. Some kids know the product may not be as good as it seems in the advertisement. Others get let down quickly when the get the product in person. They fed into the hype surrounding what they thought was something cool and different. But it was just a gimmick to get parents to spend money. It would be great to have more children ads that promote positive and healthy attitudes besides just products and services people may not care about.
